How it works for your firm
From the client’s first message to your first call, in five steps.

A client explains their case
They chat with our assistant about what happened, where they are, their budget and whether they need legal aid. No forms, no searching for a firm.

We offer it to firms that fit
Up to two firms at a time, chosen by the matching rules below. The first firm to accept gets the client, and the other offer is withdrawn.

You get an email with the case summary
Name, practice area, location and a summary of the situation, plus the full conversation in your dashboard. Contact details stay hidden until you accept.

Accept or decline in one click
You have 4 working hours. Decline for a conflict or because you're busy, and you can pause new enquiries while you're at capacity. If you decline or don't reply, it goes to the next firm.

We introduce you to the client
When you accept, you get their email and phone number, and we send the client an introduction email with you in copy. From there it's your client. We take no cut of your fees.
How we rank law firms
Every firm gets a score, updated daily. It decides the order firms are offered enquiries in, the star rating on your profile, and the Top 1%, 2%, 5% and 10% badges. It's worked out the same way for every firm, and membership doesn't change it.
Responsiveness
Replying to more than half of your enquiries, accepting at least one in five, and replying within 24 hours on average. Declining counts as a reply.
Client feedback
After an introduction, we ask clients whether you got in touch. When clients confirm you did, you move up. When they say you never called, you move down.
Google reviews
Your Google rating and how many reviews you have (counted up to 100).
Team and experience
How many lawyers you have and their average years of practice, from the Law Society register (capped at 20 lawyers and 30 years, so small firms aren't buried).
Profile
Website, logo, social profiles and network membership such as NZ Law or LawLink.

How an enquiry finds your firm
Each enquiry goes through the same rules, in this order. Up to six firms can be offered one enquiry over its life, but only one is ever introduced to the client.

Must fit the case
The practice area and specialisation the client needs, and legal aid if they need it. A firm that doesn't fit is never offered the enquiry, member or not.

Closest first
We look for offices within 20 km of the client, then widen to 40, 80 and 120 km only if no firm nearer fits. Immigration enquiries can go nationwide. A closer firm is always offered the enquiry before one further away.

Order among firms that fit
Members first, then firms that reply to their enquiries, then firms that ignored most of theirs in the last 30 days. Within each group, the higher-ranked firm goes first.

Shared fairly
A firm offered an enquiry isn't offered another one in the next 24 hours, and firms that are paused at capacity are skipped.

When several firms fit a client’s case, member firms are offered the enquiry before anyone else.
Never moved back
Firms that ignored most of their enquiries in the last 30 days are offered new ones after firms that reply. Members always keep their place.
One client pays for the year
A single new family, property or immigration client usually brings in more in fees than a year of membership. You keep all your fees.

A flat monthly price with no per-enquiry fees, invoiced at the end of each month and only if we offered you an enquiry.
